Considering the success of this event and its demand in mind the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is planning to host the entire fourth edition of the league in Pakistan. The board is already in plans of shifting its second home ground from the United Arab Emirates to Malaysia and is confident that with the cooperation of international teams and players in terms of their agreement on giving a tour to the country, the biggest thrilling cricket series would return to Pakistan. The attack back in 2009 on the Sri Lankan team placed Pakistan cricket in a tight spot as international teams refused to visit the country. International cricket suffered negatively thus forcing the Pakistan Cricket Board to shift its home ground to the United Arab Emirates. The cricket team of Zimbabwe after seven years gap visited Pakistan in 2016, however, it failed to create the kind of hype it was expected to make. The first edition of Pakistan Super League was even held in the United Arab Emirates. This would be making a way for a full series to be hosted in Pakistan by a top team.It was also confirmed that after the PSL third edition, the West Indies team would be playing a three-match T20 series in Pakistan, which is to start from the 29th of March. The matches would be played in Lahore.
